Premium Landscaping — Durham

Durham University is one of England's oldest universities, with a history spanning more than 180 years — growing from a small college of 15 students in 1832 to around 17,000 students today. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across six faculties: Arts & Humanities, Business, Education, Engineering & Computing, Health & Medicine, and Science, alongside foundation and international exchange programmes.

The university is home to a number of research centres, including the Institute for Computational Cosmology and the Durham Energy Institute, and has strong international research partnerships. On campus, students have access to sports grounds, libraries, computer labs and a wide range of clubs and societies, from theatre groups to volunteering organisations.

Durham University has a strong local presence, with student-led volunteering, mentoring and charity initiatives working alongside organisations such as Durham County Council and Age UK. County Durham itself is steeped in history, and the university campus sits within easy reach of the city's historic sites and green spaces — Wharton Park is a popular spot for a walk nearby.

We've carried out garden and grounds work for homeowners and businesses around the university area — it's one of the more established parts of Durham we work in regularly, and the mix of period properties and newer student accommodation means we see a good range of landscaping needs, from formal gardens to low-maintenance outdoor space.
